Dog Leash

A dog leash can consist of any length of metal, fabric, or leather that attaches to a dogs neck and keeps them under control. Leashes are useful in training dogs and also as a matter of public safety. There are many different types of leash out there suited a all dog varieties.

A retractable dog leash is designed to let the dog wander somewhat freely up to thirty feet away. A thin rope extends out of the handle of this leash and automatically reels in when a button is depressed. These leashes are nice because they allow the dog a bit more freedom while still being firmly under control.

Other than training and play, leashes are important because they keep people, dogs, and other animals safe. Sometimes a dog sees something it wants and just goes for it, whether that is a cat or a child or some other creature. During this chase the dog could be injured by traffic or the animal or child it’s after could be hurt. For this reason, public places often have leash laws in effect to keep everyone safe.
