Dog Treats

Dog treats come in a variety of shapes sizes and designs for different dog breeds. Some help to keep their coats shiny or even to change the coats color. They can have functional purposes like keeping their teeth healthy, or simply to keep them from eating your shoes. They can be used as rewards in training or just to make your dog happy.

One useful recipe for homemade dog treats is the bad breath banisher. Get a hold of the following ingredients: 2 cups brown rice flour, 1 tbs. active charcoal (not a charcoal briquette,) 3 tbs. canola oil, 1 egg, ½ cup fresh mint, ½ cup fresh parsley, and 2/3 cup low-fat milk. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and preheat oven to 400 degrees.

On a lightly oiled cookie sheet, place teaspoonfuls of mix about an inch apart. Then bake for fifteen to twenty minutes. Store mix in an airtight container. This tasty dog treats recipe is courtesy of bullwrinkle.com
